To celebrate what would have been Mac Miller's 29th birthday (which is January 19th), his longtime DJ Clockwork has dropped Mac Miller Remixxed. It's his way of paying tribute to the late rapper, as well as giving fans a way to celebrate his birthday together.

It's a mix that features some of Mac's biggest songs, including Kool-Aid & Frozen Pizza, Nikes On My Feet, What's The Use and Good News. It's a walk down memory lane for both old and new fans of Mac, and we're digging Clockwork's takes on the tracks.

Speaking at the start of the project, Clockwork wishes the late rapper a happy birthday, saying, "Mac, what's up dude? It's your boy Clock. Just checking in, saying 'happy birthday.' I love you. Love to your family. This is a mix I put together for you. I hope you up there partying with Prince. Tell 2Pac I said what up. Tell Biggie I said what up. I love you, man."

The pair initially connected through MySpace, before going onto tour the world together. Speaking about their friendship to REVOLT.TV, Clockwork says touring together helped them forge a bond. "I would hope that you would form a relationship with the people you're on tour with. A lot of those people you're going to see everyday.

"A lot of those people are going to start to become your friends and your family. That's what happened with me and Mac's situation. Not that we were forced to become that. But we spent so much time together and we were so cool that Mac became my brother."
