This week, Macklemore will play the NRL Grand Final and he's announced what songs he'll be treating the audience too.
The US rapper was controversially announced as the pre-game entertainment and will perform three songs before the North Queensland Cowboys take on the Melbourne Storm on Sunday.
As well as his hits 'Glorious' and 'Downtown', he will perform 'Same Love' off his album with producer Ryan Lewis The Heist.
The song is an equal rights anthem that and the video featured a same-sex marriage. It's a very apt time to perform the song in front of an Australian audience of 70,000 people given that people are currently filling out their same-sex marriage postal surveys.
Macklemore will be joined on stage by guest vocalist Mary Lambert who is a very vocal activist for LGBTQ rights.
The performance will air at 6.30pm next Sunday on Channel 9. It comes just over a week after the release of his new solo album Gemini.
