The Australian Bureau of Statistics today announced that, after a whopping 12.7 million votes, the 'Yes' side of the marriage equality survey won by 61.6 percent. Sighs of relief and cheers of joy were heard nation-wide, with social media feeds filled with rainbows. Macklemore will take to the NRL Grand Final on Sunday to perform his equality anthem Same Love with Mary Lambert and while there's been backlash from some (hi Tony Abbott) about football not being political, it seems most of the country is in agreement. 

This week, Macklemore will play the NRL Grand Final and he's announced what songs he'll be treating the audience too.

The US rapper was controversially announced as the pre-game entertainment and will perform three songs before the North Queensland Cowboys take on the Melbourne Storm on Sunday.

Macklemore has now released his new solo album, GEMINI. The record features a huge group of A+ artists, including Skylar Grey, Lil Yachty and Kesha, as well as Downtown-featuring vocalist Eric Nally.
