It's been a whirlwind of a 24 hours for My Chemical Romance fans.

Off the back of finding out frontman Gerard Way was related to Joe Rogan, the band have announced a reunion show - which we've been hoping for ever since the band broke up back in 2013.

No, you didn't read that wrong - MCR are back. Properly, truly back. No, we can't believe it either.

The announcement coincides with Halloween in the US, so the timing couldn't be more perfect.

Earlier this year, Joe Jonas claimed the band was re-uniting, telling KISS FM, “My Chemical Romance were apparently rehearsing next to us in New York recently, which—I thought they broke up, so…that’s the gossip!”

At the time, no-one believed him, but it looks like he's got the last laugh.
