Cardi B's taken to Twitter to 'lament' the current state of music, and she's tweeted out a video of emo kings My Chemical Romance to make her point. We can't say we expected this from one of the queens of rap, but we're here for it.
Sharing a clip of My Chemical Romance's I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Cardi wrote, "They don’t make music like this anymore". Maybe this is the push that MCR needs to release new music, because at that point, the statement becomes untrue.
It's been a little while since we heard new music from Cardi. She released her last single, Up, in February 2021, before collaborating with Normani on Wild Side and Lizzo on Rumours.
Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance reformed at the end of 2019, before the pandemic put a stop to a lot of their plans. They'll be playing Australian shows in March 2023, marking their first shows Down Under since they visited Australia as part of the Big Day Out line-up back in 2012.

You can check out Cardi's tweet below. It's expected that she'll be releasing a new album at some point in 2022, and My Chemical Romance have re-formed - who do we have to beg to get them on a track together?
