What were you doing when you were 5? If it was writing Christmas songs, then you have more in common with Olivia Rodrigo than you might think.

To celebrate the festive season, Olivia took to social media to share her first-ever Christmas song, called the bels. We've all got to start somewhere - and let's face it, this is adorable. Imagine being at the family Christmas party and she sings this?

Talking about the song, she wrote, "in honor of Christmas Eve may I present to you my very first Christmas song “the bels” written by 5 year old me lol. happy holidays!!!!"

The song talks about the bells that ring during the festive season, as well as when Santa's around delivering gifts. If you're a fan of gingerbread at Christmas time, then you're not alone - Olivia sings, "oh, see the dancing gingerbread dance in your head. Wait, wait, wait for the bells."

2021 has been a monumental year for Olivia. It started with the release of drivers license, before she shared her debut album, SOUR, with the world. We can't wait for what the future has in store for her - it feels like this is just the beginning.

Check out the bels below. Honestly, how many other people do you know that were writing harmonies like this at 5? Clearly, songwriting was in her blood.
