    Rap Wrap

Hip-hop music comes faster than any other genre. It's not uncommon for a rapper to drop upwards of three projects a year and while that's great, it becomes increasingly hard to stay on top of it. 'The Rap Wrap' is our attempt to keep you in the know on the weekly. This week, you're getting new music from the new Stormzy album plus a surprise drop from Kaytranada and Mick Jenkins.

Stormzy - Audacity (Feat. Headie One)

The new Stormzy album Heavy Is The Head has arrived and it features this blistering cut Audacity. Over an icy beat Stormzy is joined by fellow British MC Headie One and together they've crafted a decadent, headstrong cut.

Baauer & Channel Tres - READY TO GO (Feat. Danny Brown)

If you've ever wanted to hear Danny Brown go hard over a pulsating, dirty electronic beat here is your chance. READY TO GO, featuring some very smooth vocal work from Channel Tres, is menacing from start-to-finish and it feels so good.

Juice WRLD - Let Me Know (I Wonder Why Freestyle)

Juice WRLD released this freestyle almost two years ago now but it's found its way onto streaming just two days before he passed away last weekend. It's a bittersweet and painful listen for fans now particularly with lyrics like, "When you left it wasn't right."

Kaytranada - Gray Area (Feat. Mick Jenkins)

At the start of the week we had no idea a new Kaytranada album was on the way and now we have the full damn thing. Gray Area is a shining highlight. It's the kind of wobbly, futuristic we've come to know from Kaytranada with some very sleek work by Mick Jenkins.

Free Nationals - Gidget (Feat. Anderson .Paak)

Anderson .Paak teaming up with his band the Free Nationals was never going to be a surprising collab. It sounds as comfortable and effortless as you'd expect, sliding by in a funk-infused breeze.

Smokepurpp - What I Please (Feat. Denzel Curry)

Smokepurpp has unleashed his second project of the year, capping of a great 2019 with a feature-heavy display. Denzel Curry has also had a great year and together they create a triumphant moment that goes hard from start to finish.

    YFN Lucci - Lonely

Atlanta MC YFN Lucci is having a big year. HIStory is his second project of 2019 and it's packed tight with gold. Lonely is one of the most affecting tracks of the bunch, talking about his brother's incarceration and the passing of family members.
