Want to feel old? It's been 10 years since Rebecca Black released Friday, and launched one of the biggest songs/memes of last decade.
She's celebrating the anniversary in a way that we never saw coming (but absolutely love), because she's released a remix of the track that's sounding very, very hyperpop.
The remix features Dorian Electra, Big Freedia and 3OH!3, which are three names we never thought we'd see on a Rebecca Black track. What's more, it was produced by Dylan Brady (aka half of 100 gecs).
If you're a fan of artists like Charli XCX or 100 gecs, then this remix will be right up your alley. Just don't expect it to sound like the original - this remix has reinvented the song in a way that has blown our mind.
Last year, Rebecca tweeted about the impact of the track on her life, writing, “Nine years ago today, a music video for a song called Friday was uploaded to the internet. Above all things, I just wish I could go back and talk to my 13-year-old self who was terribly ashamed of herself and afraid of the world.
"To my 15-year-old self who would get to school only to get food thrown at her and her friends. To my 19-year-old self who had almost every producer/songwriter tell me they’d never work with me. Hell, to myself a few days ago who felt disgusting when she looked in the mirror!
“I’m trying to remind myself more and more that every day is a new opportunity to shift your reality and lift your spirit. You are not defined by any one choice or thing. Time heals and nothing is finite. It’s a process that’s never too late to begin. And so, here we go! This might be a weird thing to post but the honesty feels good if nothing else.”

Check out the remix below. It's definitely blown our mind, in the best way possible. It's Rebecca Black like you'd never expect to hear her - and given the music she's been releasing recently (her recent single Girlfriend is an absolute tune), we think this is the year of Rebecca Black.
