Rihanna and A$AP Rocky recently revealed they were expecting a child, but fans are still waiting on a delivery of a different kind - the delivery of a new album.

It's been a long time since Rihanna released 2016's ANTI, but in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Rihanna let fans know that new music is still on the horizon.

When asked about new music, Rihanna responded, "Yes, you're still going to get music from me". While we're not quite sure what the album will sound like, she has ruled out one possibility. There won't be any children's music on R9. "My fans would kill me if they waited this long for a lullaby." 

Elsewhere in the interview, Rihanna spoke about the experience of being pregnant."It’s all an exciting journey so far. I’m just taking it as it comes every week," Rihanna revealed. "There’s always something new and I’m just taking it and I’m enjoying it."

Back in July 2021, Rihanna and Rocky were snapped on the set of a music video, filming during a New York summer. While we're still not quite sure what they were up to, fingers crossed we'll find out if either artist drops new music at some point in the near future.

Fingers crossed that 2022 is the year we get new music from Rihanna. After all, fans have been asking for it for a while, with a nightclub recently getting involved in the campaign for new music!
