Snoop Dogg is a shrewd businessman, in addition to being a hip-hop legend, and it looks like he's adding another product to his arsenal. You could soon be eating hot dogs (and other kinds of sausages) thanks to Snoop, so good news if you're a hot dog connoisseur.
According to his attorneys, he's filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for federal trademark registration on the term "Snoop Doggs", for use as a brand name. With a brand name as good as that, it's a move that makes complete sense.
Reporting on the application, Billboard notes that it was filed as an "intent-to-use application", meaning that while the brand hasn't been launched yet, he's looking to do so - and he wanted to have the name ready ahead of time.
Of course, Snoop hasn't always loved hot dogs - back in 2016, he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and learnt how hot dogs were made. His reaction was priceless, saying, “This is a hot dog!?
"Oh cuz, I ain’t never eating a motherfucking hot dog! If that’s how they make hot dogs, I don’t want one. I’m good.” Clearly, he thinks he can do things better.
