Taylor Swift has been hard at work re-recording her first six albums after losing the rights to the masters, and we've just got a taste of what they'll sound like.
Taylor tweeted that her bestie Ryan Reynolds asked "if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak [sic] of Love Story!"
She's also said that there'll be more good news soon, tweeting, "Working hard to get the music to you soon!!"
In case you missed it, Taylor's masters were sold by her old label head Scott Borchetta to Scooter Braun, and her and Scooter aren't exactly on good terms.
By re-recording her old music, she's able to put a new spin on some old classics, as well as give fans a way to listen to her old music without supporting Mr Braun.
The commercial, which is for dating site Match, features Ryan playing Satan, as well as a woman playing 2020. It's pretty funny, and it's no surprise Taylor wanted Love Story to be the music for the clip.
The song sounds similar to the original, but her voice sounds stronger than when we first heard it. It sounds like the re-recordings of her hits will be largely similar to the source material, with a few tweaks here and there.
She'll be re-recording every track in her discography up until her 2019 album Lover. It's a hard task, but if anyone can pull it off, Taylor can.
Check out the commercial below. Ryan is as charismatic as ever, and Love Story is sounding great - we can't wait to hear what else Taylor has in store for us soon.
Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak of Love Story! Working hard to get the music to you soon!! https://t.co/0vBFXxaRXR
