RINI, an Australian-born, LA-based R&B singer loves love, and it's what fuels his music. He takes elements of R&B that people love and combines them with sounds that continue to push the genre forward.
He first got people's attention by busking on the streets of Melbourne, which he recently told Ones To Watch helped him develop the ability to step outside his comfort zone. "The greatest thing I took from it would probably be that we need to work for what we want and be willing to try something new and different once in a while, learn to step out of your comfort zone.

He took the experience he gained from busking and started releasing music, beginning with a string of singles in 2018, before releasing an EP the same year, After The Sun, which was a 5-track taste of his potential, as well as embarking on an Australian tour.
2019 was a big year for RINI, as he recently made the move to the US, basing himself in Los Angeles. It also saw him release a string of singles, including My Favourite Clothes, a track about wanting someone with you desperately, but not wanting to force them to be with you.
RINI recently spoke about his approach to music with DJBooth, saying, "With my sound, I try to be as experimental as I can. I always try new things, and I write through my own experiences. I try to open up, express myself, my story. I think people connect with that, easily."
RINI's most recent release in 2020 is Bedtime Story, which sees him kicking things up a notch in his relationship. It's a song about passion in the relationship - a recurring theme in his music.
Speaking about Bedtime Story, RINI says, "This is the most exciting part of every relationship, the part where both parties are ready to take it to the next level and be as close as physically possible. This is also the part of the relationship where it can be a little bit daunting as it may be a feeling that they’ve never experienced before.
"In the song, I was trying to say that I am ready for this girl, but at the same time, I don’t want to force anything. But knowing that she was on the same page and she’s liking the mood, it was time for me to make my move and make her feel good."
With more music set to come from RINI this year, 2020 is shaping up to be a great year for old and new RINI fans alike. We can't wait to see how he continues to push his sound, and where he sees R&B going next.
