Young Thug has debuted four songs from his forthcoming record Punk on the latest edition of NPR Tiny Desk.
Thug has been teasing his new record Punk since the release of So Much Fun in 2019. It was originally slated to release at the beginning of 2020 but it looks like he's finally ready to unleash it.
He introduced the introspective project with a rocked-up Tiny Desk complete with a full band. The five-song set consisted mostly of unreleased songs off Punk which are being described as songs of "authenticity, consciousness and overall purity."
For the final song Ski, he's joined by Travis Barker who has been across plenty of pop-punk projects this year including Bebe Rexha and Willow.
According to the accompanying description of the performance, Punk will see the light of day on October 15th. Despite having countless mixtapes, Thug is counting Punk as only his second studio album, following on from So Much Fun.
