When we hit up Bertie Blackman for her Thank God It’s Friday playlist we were confident we’d be treated to a bunch of quality jams and guess what? We were so RIGHT!
New Yorkers were so excited by the opening of their very own Rough Trade, the store even tweeted about the “abnormal” amount of PDA’s going on all around them… “We’re not even mad about it – just glad records turn people on so much.” The self proclaimed and simply put “place to celebrate music” is an exciting addition to New York City, and even more exciting, it’s in my local Williamsburg.
Sooooooo, here we all were thinking the world was coming to an end as the Mayan calender reached the winter solstice of 2012 BUT it turns out the doomsday Mayan Gods pulled the ol’ ‘so the world is ending… …NOT’ trick and have granted us another crack at the wheel.
