Māori-Australian rapper Day1 has again continued his stellar run of singles, unleashing the monstrous Me, Myself & I recently. Following on from the likes of last month's Dubai, the new track shows that even though Day1 is on the way to global domination, things are only just getting started.
While Dubai might have been an exuberant cut, Me, Myself & I follows in the same vibe, albeit with a little more introspection, allowing Day1 to look inwards somewhat. Ruminating on the notion of one's own self being the most reliable companion, it's a hard-hitting track with powerful lyricism, bolstered by a powerful, atmospheric instrumental.
Confident and bold in its delivery, Me, Myself & I also comes accompanied by a slick visual, with videographer and director Kaylum Dennis joining the mix for the video. Capturing Day1 in central London, it's another testament to his global appeal, and the far-reaching influence that he holds while continuing to put Australian hip-hop on the map.
Me, Myself & I is just the latest in a string of successful singles for Day1, including the his June track Mbappé, featuring Kahukx. Released only a couple of months ago, it's managed to become one of his biggest tracks to date, reaching #17 on the ARIA Charts, and hitting #25 on the Aussie Shazam charts.

Needless to say, it's showing just how much of a massive appeal that an artist like Day1 has managed to curate in just a few short years. Having kicked things off back in 2019 with the release of his Platinum-certified banger Boss, even the likes of a global pandemic haven't held down an artist like Day1, who instead of retreating pivoted to make some of the best music of his career.
