ARN's The Edge radio station has rebranded as CADA, a station that's looking to give another platform to fresh and emerging hip-hop and R&B artists. They've put together a huge collab to mark their launch, bringing together Mason Dane, A.GIRL, Day1 and Reyanna Maria for a track that's representative of the wealth of talent that Australia's produced in recent times.
Featuring upbeat, Latin-inspired production from Liam Thomas (aka Rora), the quartet deliver lyrical reminders that Australian music is set to go global. Whether you've been on the journey alongside them for a while now, or this is a jumping-on point, it's a warm invitation to those that believe in the vision.
Speaking about the track, Mason Dane explains, “This track began with me and Liam building out the hook and once we added the trumpets by Ryan Svendson, we got prepared for everyone’s verses - everybody played their part and killed their sections.
"It’s sick to be a part of this CADA launch that’s gonna push the culture forward, and to do it with all these accomplished and talented people I love just makes it that extra bit more exciting."
A.GIRL echoed Mason's thoughts, adding, “I’m so happy to be a part of this. The track gives me super good feels and this launch can only do good for the culture.” More platforms highlighting the wealth of Australian talent are always welcome.
CADA is looking to highlight the best in Australian and international hip-hop and R&B, with shows presented by the likes of Flex Mami & Froomes, B-Wise, Soju Gang & Dijok Mai and more. You can listen to the station on the iHeartRadio App, on FM (if you're in Western Sydney), and DAB+ nationally.
