New Zealand-born, Goodna-based rapper Lisi has released his new single, Til The Death. It showcases Lisi's ability to give people a glimpse of the world around him, as well as highlighting the consequences that young men can face when they're lead astray.
The track, which is set to feature on Lisi's debut album (due out in November), tells a fictional tale of two young men who have grown up together, but gone down separate paths. One's focusing on rugby, while the other's out on the streets, but their friendship still holds strong until the end.
Til The Death features production from Sygotbeatz and IAMMXO, and is another example of why Lisi's held in such high regard by both his peers and his fans. Lisi's bars give the track the gravitas it deserves, meaning it'll resonate with anyone who listens.
The video for the track, produced by Moonboy Studios, captures the pain of losing someone far too early, and it's a haunting visual representation of the pain that violence can cause a community. It flicks back and forth between footage of young boys and grown men, packing an emotional punch.
