Lorde has given a few details about when we can expect her highly anticipated third album Solar Power.
She dropped the first single and title track last week while announcing on her website that we would have the record in 2021.
In an interview with Kiwi radio station The Edge, she's given a few more specific details on when it will be coming. While she noted that she can't say much she said, "I can not give you too much detail right now but I will say...in the next season. You'll get it in the next season."
"It's finished, it's amazing and it's coming," she continued.
She also gave a few more details about who has worked on the album. She said that she has worked with Jack Antonoff on the whole LP and also Frank Ocean-collaborator Malay. Malay also worked on Melodrama contributing to Perfect Places, Sober and Hard Feelings/Loveless.
As for the sounds of the record, she noted that it's not all going to have the featherlight vibe of the first single.
"Solar Power is a really good encapsulation of that side of the album but as with me there are always the heavy songs, the deep introspective songs," she said.
Let's just wish away this season so we can have the new Lorde record in our hands.
