Pink Sweat$ recently put out an open verse challenge on TikTok for his track Real Thing, and we've been loving the responses. However, we think that Australian R&B newcomer Oliver Cronin won the challenge. You can let us know if you think we're right after checking out his verse below.
Released back in January, Pink Sweat$ teamed up with American singer-songwriter Tori Kelly for Real Thing, which features on recently released project Pink Moon. However, he wanted to see what other artists would be able to do with the space to shine on the track.
When Australia's Oliver Cronin jumped in to take it on, Pink lost it. Reacting to Oliver's verse, Pink wrote, "yooo his flow is craxy [sic]!" Building on the theme of the track, Oliver sings about the person he can't live without, and it's not hard to get lost in his voice. Oliver was clearly excited by the love that Pink showed, commenting, "Yooo!!! Thank you bro, incredible song 💜."
Pink Sweat$'s second album, Pink Moon, is all about love and showcases both the physical and mental aspects of forming that bond with someone. Speaking about the project to Flood Magazine, Pink explained, "Love is everything, baby. It’s chaos and it’s peace. It’s doubt and it’s confidence. It's a constant growing and sharpening of yourself and others around you. I wanted this project to articulate that."
