The Kid LAROI says his official debut album is set to be released next year, and judging by his Instagram stories, it might just feature another huge Australian act. There's been a lot of talk about his debut album, and it's set to arrive next year - so fans won't have to wait too much longer.

Speaking to Billboard, LAROI explains that he hopes his debut album will quell any comparisons to other artists, saying, “I understand that’s what happens in the beginning of [a career]. I feel like as I keep going, people will start to see me more for me. I think that’s already happening. Hopefully, with this album, people will really start to separate me as my own person.”

Posting on his Instagram stories, LAROI shared an image of himself in the studio with none other than Kevin Parker (aka Tame Impala) with the pair deep in thought. Despite his global success, LAROI's always shown love for Australia, and this is further proof of his deep appreciation for Australian music.

Alongside his debut album, he also told Billboard that he's working on a project that will explain the details behind the name LAROI, which is a reference to his mother's First Nations heritage. He's a proud Kamilaroi artist, and we're keen to learn more about LAROI's background.

This isn't the only high-profile collab that LAROI might have in the works, as he's caught the attention of Lil Nas X. Posting on TikTok, Nas shouted out a bunch of artists that he'd love to work with, including LAROI. That needs to happen ASAP.
