Not content with dominating the music world, R&B star The Weeknd has turned his attention to making a hit TV show.
He's working on a TV show for HBO alongside Reza Fahim and Sam Levinson, aka the creator of Euphoria. The Weeknd's previously written an episode of American Dad, but this'll be the first time he's worked on a TV series.
The show, which is currently titled The Idol, is set to follow "a female pop singer who starts a romance with an enigmatic L.A. club owner who is the leader of a secret cult", according to Variety.
It's been a big year for the Weeknd so far, performing at the Super Bowl and winning big at the Billboard Music Awards. This is another feather in his cap, and it's an exciting development for both The Weeknd fans, and fans of good TV.
