    Ty Dolla $ign

We loved Ty Dolla $ign's turn earlier this year on Kehlani's Nights Like This, and now hearing a new jam from him featuring J. Cole is a treat.

The pair have teamed up for a song called Purple Emoji (referring to the eggplant? The purple devil? The purple heart? We'll never know) and it's the first taste of what will be Ty Dolla $ign's third album, which he's reportedly been working on with Kanye.

The pair have also dropped the video, shot in Brooklyn.

He told Zane Lowe that it would be his "most personal" yet, with more "really talking the talk, lot more serious songs but a couple party songs, bangers and stuff".  He also added that J. Cole laid down his verse on the love song in only five minutes.

"Cole was in the room right next to me. When I saw him I was like, ‘Bro, I got something to play you’ and he’s like ‘I got something to play you.’ So I went to his studio and heard everything he was working on and then I’m like ‘Yo, I just did this one I thought would be crazy for both of us.’ So he came in my room, I played it for him immediately, and he did his verse, [in] less five minutes.”
