Australian pop artist Oliver Cronin has just released his new single, Boys Don't Cry, and it's a reflective track that takes a look at the pressures society places on men to act tough. Produced by Cobra, Boys Don't Cry is another example of Oliver's ability to craft relatable hooks that'll get stuck in your brain for ages.
Oliver recently shared a teaser for the track on TikTok, and the teaser currently has over 500k views. In the TikTok's caption, Oliver asks "who’s ready to scream this in your car?" If you're looking to let out some pent-up emotion while you're driving around at night, then turn this one all the way up.

Lyrically, the track laments how often men are expected to shut themselves off for the comfort of others. Oliver sings, "The other day I fell in love/Was good to speak on my emotions, I don’t do it much", and he's described the track as "one for the boys". Bottling things up is never healthy.
Speaking about Boys Don't Cry, Oliver explains, “It is etched in society that boys shouldn’t cry, boys shouldn’t share emotion. I hope this song can bring awareness to the mental effects of masculinity, and the pressure for boys & men to prove theirs.”
You can check out Boys Don't Cry below. It's Oliver's third single for 2022, and he's got a lot more in store for the rest of the year. Fans have been waiting for this one since Oliver first dropped a snippet of the track, and we're very glad it's finally here.
